The Government has announced that the government's universal healthcare insurance scheme, Aasandha will start to offer full coverage for the treatments of PCOS and Endometriosis conditions in women.

This was announced by the Under Secretary for Public Policy at the President's Office Mohamed Firuzul at a press conference held at the President's Office today.

Speaking at the press conference, Firuzul said that today the cabinet discussed offering coverage for these two conditions under Aasandha after a paper was submitted to the cabinet.

He said that after the discussions, the cabinet of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu decided to offer full coverage for the treatment of PCOS and Endometriosis via Aasandha.

Firuzul noted these treatments are sometimes overlooked by Aasandha depending on how the diagnosis is given and that this has become troublesome to many who suffer from the conditions.

Today's decision from the cabinet came as President Muizzu announced last week that IVF services would be included in the Aasandha scheme.
