Addu City Hithadhoo Court has remanded the four people who have been arrested in connection with a clash between two gangs in Hithadhoo, Addu City pending trial.
The Court decided at their latest remand hearing following their arrest on Saturday.
Police said that all four were arrested under a warrant and that they included an 18-year-old, a 19-year-old, a 20-year-old, and a 23-year-old. Police said that they were further investigating the case.
Police had said earlier that the attack on the 1st of December injured a 30-year-old man. Police said that the man sustained serious injuries and that the victim was receiving treatment at Addu Equatorial Hospital.
The law enforcement agency also said that following the attack in Addu, Police were now enhancing security measures in both Addu City and Male'.
Police said that they were working to send additional police teams to the Southern City to further their security operations in Addu.
