The newly inaugurated President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the troops since taking oath of office.
The President was welcomed by Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdul Raheem Abdul Latif and senior army officials.
During his first visit to Bandaarakoshi, the President was welcomed by the army and given a guard of honor. The President also met with the troops and addressed them.
In his address to the nation after being sworn in last Friday, the President promised to protect the country without any undermining of its sovereignty and independence.
