Newly appointed Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali says the Ministry will announce further higher education opportunities to Imams who have acquired master's degrees in Islamic education.
After taking over as Islamic Ministry, Shaheem said in a post on 'X':
• Imams who have obtained master's in religious studies will be facilitated to pursue PhDs in foreign universities
• Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia will provide training opportunities
After taking over the post yesterday, Shaheem took the first decision to hand over the Islamic Center in Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo to the Islamic University.
Shaheem said that this decision would allow students living in the south of the country to pursue further studies in Islamic Education without having to travel to the capital Male'.
