One person was injured when a balcony of a house in Male' fell to the ground.
Police said that they received the report of the incident around 1:18 p.m. this afternoon and that the house was in the Maafannu ward of Male'.
They confirmed that the person who was injured had been on the street when the balcony fell and that the man was a local. Police said that the man had been taken to IGHM for treatment.
The extent of his injuries is not yet clear.
Police also said that they shared the information with other relevant organizations and were further investigating the matter.
Social media photos show the police on the scene and that they have cordoned off the area with crime scene tape.
