Maldivian Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed says Israel must immediately ceasefire in Gaza and stop its genocide against the Palestinians.

His comments came as the world witnessed a month of non-stop Israeli bombardment of the Palestinian enclave since the Hamas Resistance group staged an attack in Southern Israel on the 7th of October.

In a post on X, Nasheed said that it is obvious that world opinion is firmly against Israel's bombing campaign in Gaza. The former President said that if the Jewish state doesn’t stop, the world order may well shift against Israel irrevocably.

The death toll in Gaza has crossed 11,000 since October 7, including more than 4,100 children and 2,600 women. Another 1,500 people remain under the rubble of the fallen buildings across Gaza.
