Today's parliament session was canceled due to a lack of quorum needed to hold the session once again.
It is becoming a cumbersome trend at the parliament since it began its 3rd term for the year with several sessions cancelled due to the lack of quorum and important legislative work mounting.
Deputy Speaker of the Parliament MP Eva Abdullah who chaired today's session said that the session for the day has to be canceled due to the lack of a quorum.
She also said that the date for this session would be announced at a later time.
However she did not announce how many parliamentarians were present at the session.
Parliament's standing order requires at least one-fourth of the parliament to be present for its session. For the 19th Parliament with 87 members, 22 MPs must be present for a session to continue.
