The President's Office has opened applications for a vacant position on the Human Rights Commission of the Maldives (HRCM).
It said that this opportunity arose after the recent resignation of a commission member.
The President's Office said that it will accept applications from October 15 to October 16, 2023.
The submission window will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interested applicants can download the necessary forms from the official website at presidency.gov.mv.
Vice President of HRCM Dr. Ahmed Adhuham Abdullah has submitted his resignation. This leaves just four members on the Commission. This includes the President of HRCM Mariyam Muna, members Mumina Waheed, Aminath Shifaath Abdul Razzaq, and Samu Ahmed Najeeb.
Under HRCM regulations, a vacant position on the Commission must be filled with 60 days.
