MDP candidate and President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih has denied allegations that MDP has been involved in distributing bribes during the campaigning for the Presidential run-off.
The President was speaking to reporters after casting his vote in the second round of the presidential election.
The President said he himself is aware of the various rumors being circulated on social media. However, he said that MDP had not distributed bribe money for any election and that he could give assurances to the people that the party would not be involved in any illegal practice.
President also said that it was difficult to estimate how much of the voter percentage he would secure but said that he was confident of winning the run-off against PNC Candidate Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Videos and photos have been circulating on social media alleging that the MDP is distributing bribes. Similarly, the opposition is also distributing bribes.
