PNC Presidential Candidate Dr. Mohamed Muizzu says under his administration more opportunities would be available for those investors importing electric vehicles and that charging docks would be also built for such vehicles.

Muizzu, who is also the Mayor of Male' City, said that it is important to consider the vulnerable state of the environment for sustainable development and that the environment is just as important.

Speaking at a rally in Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhufushi, Muizzu said that under his administration, special consideration would be given to those who want to bring in electric vehicles.

He further said that the government would assist such investors and also build charging stations for electric vehicles.

The PNC Candidate noted this administration would try to revive the interest in bicycle riding and introduce innovations like the e-bike to further develop environmental sustainability.

Muizzu said that when he initially announced his manifesto, he had set his developmental vision and had stated his vision for urban development too.

Mentioning his vision for the development of the northern Atolls, Muizzu said that his plan is to facilitate integrated development of the North including Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, and Shaviyani Atoll and that the main hub for the region would be Haa Dhaalu Kulhudhufushi.
