Maldives National Party Presidential Candidate MP Colonel Retired Mohamed Nazim has cast his vote in the ongoing Presidential Election.
He cast his vote at the ballot box Maafannu North 2 kept at Maafanu Madharusaa.
Meanwhile, The Democrats Candidate MP for Hulhudhoo Constituency Ilyas Labeeb has also cast his vote in the election.
He put his vote in the ballot box placed at Kalaafaanu School labeled Addu City, Male'1.
Along with these two candidates, MDP Candidate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, PNC Candidate Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Jumhooree Party Candidate Qasim Ibrahim, and Independent Candidate Faris Maumoon have all cast their votes.
A total of 8 candidates are competing in this election.
A total of 282,395 people are eligible to vote in this election and the Elections Commission confirms that there are 20,270 new voters in this election.
Voting is expected to continue till 04:00 pm.
