Ooredoo Masrace 2023 – Fuvahmulah City concludes with team Reef Raiders taking the championship title.

A number of special awards were given out to the winning teams and fishermen at the closing ceremony held at Fuvahmulah Bandharu where Fuvahmulah City Mayor, Ismail Rafeeq, MP for North Fuvahmulah Mohamed Rasheed, MP South Fuvahmulah, Mohamed Mumthaz and other dignitaries from the City joined as the chief guests of the event.

The championship title of Ooredoo Masrace 2023 in Fuvahmulah was claimed by the remarkable Team Reef Raiders with a total of 1326.45 points, taking home MVR25,000 as a Cash Prize.

The competition was intense, with Team Nagai Haali securing the runner-up position with a commendable total of 335 points. Following closely, Team Meyre Bol secured the second runner-up position with a total of 175.8 points.

Adding to the array of remarkable achievements, Abdulla Ibrahim from the champion team, Reef Raiders took the Heaviest Catch title and the special gift pack from Sea Gear by catching a Ruby weighing 8.05kg.

Abdulla Ibrahim also secured the Best Fisherman title with a total of 17 catches, while Safa Adnan from Team Meyre Bol was recognized as the Best Fisherwoman of Ooredoo Masrace 2023 from Fuvahmulah City.

This year, as part of Ooredoo Maldives’ 18th Anniversary celebration, Masrace 2023 has extended its reach to all four cities: Male' City, Kulhudhuffushi City, Addu City, and Fuvahmulah City.
