PNC Presidential Candidate Male' City Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu says under his administration the government would allocate a land plot in Male' for Arabiyya School and would build a state-of-the-art school on the land.
He made the remarks while speaking to the residents of the Shaviyani Atoll Kanditheem while on a campaign trip to the island.
Muizzu said that this administration has heavily neglected the Arab-language-only school Arabiyya and once the building which housed the school began to crumble, the administration shuffled the students to a warehouse made from tin material.
He said that there were enough land plots that could house the school building in Male' but the administration lied to the students, parents, and the public on the matter.
Noting that the administration allocated the old Jamlaludeen school building land for the Arabiyya school, Muizzu said that this land is an in a deeply congested area in Male' and that the government even failed to develop this allocated land for the school.
Muizzu promised to allocate a land in Male' for one of the oldest Arab-language only schools in the Maldives and to build a state-of-the art facility for the school.
