Police say they have launched an investigation into the incident where crude oil was thrown at the MDP Campaign office in Gaafu Dhaalu Hondedhoo.
The Crude oil was thrown at chairs, tables as well other furniture inside the office.
Police said to 'The Press' that the incident was reported to them around 06:00 am this morning.
They said that Police have now launched an investigation into the incident but that they have not made any arrests in relation to the incident.
They added that they would continue the investigation.
Last week, an MDP Party center in Madaveli of the same atoll was the subject of an arson attack a day before MDP Presidential Candidate President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih was set to visit the island.
Though police are investigating the incident no arrests have been made yet.
