The government is seeking a party that would provide Solar PV systems for 155 mosques across the country.

The Ministry of Finance has issued an announcement seeking a supplier of solar PV systems for 155 mosques in 155 islands at the request of the Ministry of Environment.

The evaluation process will be conducted under the National Competitive Bidding Rules.

Furthermore, the bid fee will be accepted till the 15th of next month, and the bid security of MVR. 50,000 is required.

The bids will be opened on the 17th of next month. The term of the bid security is 148 days from the date of bid opening.

Air-conditioning mosques using renewable energy is part of the government's 100-day pledge, but the ministry said a year ago that solar panels would be installed in mosques within the next three years.
