Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed Miuvaan says there won't be any room to question the recipients selected under the government's housing schemes for the residents of Male'.
Speaking at his weekly press briefing, Miuvaan said that there are no such instances where the flats or land plots were given to a particular applicant.
Miuvaan said that once the government opened the schemes to award land plots and flats for Male' residents, the number of applications showed how much the resident of the capital needed these housing schemes.
He further stated that the recipient's list of the schemes was now near complete.
Miuvaan explained that the cabinet would convene this afternoon to discuss the land plot recipient list and that the government would publish the list before the end of this month.
The land plots as well as the flats allocated for Male' residents were opened for application last July and since then the Ministry has received 20,697 application forms for flats and 15,164 application forms for land plots.
