Police say the 32-year-old mother missing with her 2-year-old daughter has contacted her family.
Earlier today, Police said that they have begun searching for Aishath Ihsanaa of Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo after she was reported missing on the 29th of this month by her family.
Police said that her family reported that Ihsana was last seen on the 29th of this month at her home in Hulhumale' Phase II Hiya flats.
They also said that Ihsana's family reported that her 2-year-old daughter was also missing along with her.
In the latest update, Police said that Ihsana's family informed them that she had contacted them today and that both she and her child were doing well.
But the Police did not say whether they have concluded their search for the missing mother and child.
Earlier, the Police requested the public to share any information they might have on Ihsana and her whereabouts through the Police hotline at 3322111 or report to the Police station at Hulhumale Phase II at 9393351.
Missing person cases have increased in the Maldives in recent months, especially in the Greater Male' Area.
