Police say they have begun a search operation for a missing mother and her toddler who were reported missing two days back.
They said that 32-year-old Aishath Ihsanaa of Haa Alifu Ihavandhoo was reported missing by her family on the 29th of this month and that search is now underway.
Police said that her family reported that Ihsana was last seen on the 29th of this month at her home in Hulhumale' Phase II Hiya flats.
They also said that Ihsana's family reported that her 2-year-old daughter was also missing along with her.
Police requested the public to share any information they might have on Ihsana and her whereabouts through the Police hotline at 3322111 or report to the Police station at Hulhumale Phase II at 9393351.
Missing person cases have increased in the Maldives in recent months, especially in the Greater Male' Area.
