The Male City Council has planned to slaughter 100 goats and distribute them for free during the coming Eid al-adha.
Mayor Dr. Muhammad Muizz indicated that this year's event would be carried out in collaboration with several sponsors.
Last year, the council organized the event in collaboration with Ooredoo.
Council member Adam Ramiz stated that they intended to donate part of the sacrifices to organizations such as children's shelters.
The council is now looking for sponsors for the event.
Eid al-adha will be observed on May 28 this year.
