President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed attended a reception at Buckingham Palace hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla of the United Kingdom.

This Reception also included other Commonwealth Heads of Government among the Overseas Representatives.

Earlier on Friday, President Solih participated in the Commonwealth Leaders Event held at Marlborough House, London.

The Commonwealth Leaders Event commemorates the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Commonwealth Charter, which coincides with the Commonwealth Year of Youth, the Commonwealth Year of Peace, and in particular, the coronation of the new Head of the Commonwealth.

During the Event, the Commonwealth leaders reflected on their shared values and spoke about the future of the Commonwealth. The discussion mainly focused on the potential of Commonwealth Youth to take forward the Commonwealth Charter on issues such as peace and sustainable development.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed are currently on an official visit to the United Kingdom to attend the coronation ceremony of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Camilla. The ceremony will be held at Westminster Abbey later today.
