Judge Hassan Saeed who has served in the judiciary system for over 21 years has retired.

He was the chief judge of the family court for a long time but he has been mostly known for the several misconduct allegations made against him in recent years.

He was recently suspended by the Judicial Service Commission JSC for facilitating illegal marriage proceedings while as the Chief Judge of the family court.

The allegations say that back in 2018, Judge Hassan Saeed as the Chief Judge of the Family Court sent one of his subordinates abroad to sanction the marriage proceeding.

But the Judges Appeal Committee decided that the Judge was wrongfully suspended and decided that there was no misconduct involved.

The JSC investigated other allegations against the Judge and he was changed from the Family Court to the Criminal Court as a reprimand for one of these allegations.

Though the Judge has now retired, as per the regulations he will be receiving his salary along with an allowance for his many years of service.

His wife as well as children below 18 will also get free health insurance as per the allowances afforded to retired judges.
