A man has died after a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup in Hulhumale' Phase II earlier today.
Police said that the accident had occurred around 10:00 am today and that it had happened near the MPL flats in Hulhumale' Phase II area.
They said that the victim of the accident was a 59-year-old local man and that the victim had succumbed to his injuries while under treatment at Hulhumale' hospital.
Police confirmed that they have already launched an investigation into the fatal collision.
The Press has come to know that the victim of the accident was riding the motorcycle while a foreigner was driving the pickup that was involved in the collision.
But this information has not been verified by any authority.
This is the 2nd serious accident in Hulhumale in the last 24 hours with the police confirming that two individuals have been seriously injured after two motorcycles collided around 1:00 am this morning.
