Maldives Broadcasting Commission has closed down its office today to deal with heavy rat infestation plaguing the building which houses it's office.
The Commission said that it is facing several problems due to the heavy infestation at G. Billoorijehige which houses the Commission and that its own work has been disrupted due to the rodents.
It said that pest control work would be underway today the Commission.
The Broadcasting Commission also said that since the pest control work is underway today, it would be a non-working day for its staff and that the office would be closed today.
It added that no services would be available via the office today and that it would make all communications today via its hotline number 7983353.
The building which houses the Broadcasting Commission also houses the Media Council and the Information Commissioner's Office.
