Housing Development Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Maldives Police Services to share Hiya Towers CCTV surveillance data.
HDC said that its Managing Director Ahmed Athif signed the MOU on behalf of the Corporation and the Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed signed the MOU on behalf of the Police.
With the signing of the MOU, police will now have access to the live footage of the CCTV cameras installed inside and outside of the 16 Hiya Towers.
HDC said that this would further enhance the work done together by the Police and the Corporation to that the Hiya area is a safe and secure area.
While the MOU is signed for three years, Police said that this partnership will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of incident response and investigations, creating a safer environment for the community.
