Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed has described former President Abdullah Yameen as an ideologist who is educated and unique.
The Speaker made the comments in a moment with reporters after returning to Male' following his campaign trip to the Atolls.
Nasheed said that Yameen was an educated and capable individual and that he and the former President had differences of opinion regarding the 'India Out' campaign.
The Speaker said that there were differences between the current President and his long-time friend and colleague President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the opposition leader.
He said that Yameen had been educated at the American University in Beirut and studied in the US. Nasheed said that Yameen is a leader with a vision and that the same cannot be said about President Solih.
Nasheed's comments came as the MDP Primary campaign nears its end with him going up against President Solih for the MDP Presidential Candidacy.
Both camps have been making trips to the islands for the Primary campaign.
