A man who fell from 20ft in Gaafu Alifu Koodoo has succumbed to his injuries.
An official from Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Male' said that the foreigner passed away yesterday and that the 41-year-old died while under treatment at the hospital.
The man had fallen while working in the Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company MIFCO fish factory on the island.
An official from MIFCO confirmed that the man had been doing roofing work when fell and that the foreigner had injured his head after suffering the 20 ft fall.
The man was initially treated at Gaafu Alifu Atoll but was transferred to Male' for further treatment.
Sources have said that the man who passed away is believed to have been from India.
