Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has signed an agreement with local construction company Donbe'z to design and build 40 housing units in Noonu Atoll Manadhoo.
At the agreement signing ceremony, Housing Department's Director General Ahmed Vishan Naseem signed on behalf of the Ministry while Head of Operations Ali Hamdoon signed on behalf of the construction company.
The housing units built under the project are expected to be 700 square feet and would have three rooms, toilets, a kitchen as well as laundry, and a store room.
The Ministry had said that to further enhance the living conditions of the inhabitants, lighting would be installed in the surrounding area and that a park and a vehicle area would also be developed.
The project funded under the PSIP budget is contracted to be completed within 270 days.
The housing project was awarded to Donbe'z for MVR 40.3 million.
