State Electric Company STELCO says it plans to carry out a housing unit in Villimale district of Male' City.
The announcement was made by the Managing Director of Stelco Ahmed Shareef at the meeting between Stelco Staff and the company's board members.
Shareef said that the company has planned to initiate a new housing project in Villimale and that it was in the process of seeking approval from the board.
He had added that once the bridge between Male' and Thilafushi is complete, there would not be any transport-related problems.
At last night's meeting, the Managing Director also said that the Stelco flats developed under the Hiya Housing Project would be handed over to their recipients next month.
He said that the key to the apartments would be handed over on the 6th of next month.
