A Bangladeshi court has ordered the re-investigation of the 2017 death of Maldivian Model Raudha Athif in Bangladesh.
Raudha was found dead in her hostel room at Islami Bank Medical College.
Bangladeshi media reported today that Rajshahi Metropolitan Magistrate Court-3 Judge Mahidur Rahman gave the order after the hearing of a revision appeal last Tuesday.
The court also asked for an investigation of the case by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Aslam Sarkar.
Though the college had claimed that, Raudha a second-year MBBS student was found hanging in her room but Bangladeshi police found her lying on her bed.
The College also claimed they had to break down the door to enter her room and bring her body down before the police arrived at the scene.
Raudha's father, however, Mohammad Atif rejected the suicide claim and filed a murder case against her classmate Sirat Parveen.
