The Male' City Council has digitilized many of the services it is providing and has launched a special portal for those services.
The portal named 'Maavehi' was launched by Male' City Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at a special meeting held for the residents of Male' last night.
Council said that the public would be able to access the portal to seek services starting next month.
The Mayor said that 90 percent of the services being given by the Council have now been digitalized and that they would be available via the portal.
These services include;
- Building related services
- Closing down roads
- Lagoon related services
- Aiding mosques
- Land related services
- Newborn registration
- Renting out a public park or space
The City Council said that those who wish to access these services must first register through the portal by using their national identity cards. It said that the portal is designed in a manner that would allow users to view updates and notifications of the services they received from the Council.
It also said that a helpdesk has been built into the system for technical help.
The Council said once the portal goes online, City Council permits would be issued digitally and their authentication would be verified via QR code and scanner.
