Maldives Transport and Contracting Company MTCC says its project team at Kudagiri Picnic Island is determined to complete the island by the target date.
In its latest update, MTCC said today that the reception area of the island now has been completed.
It said that the reception area includes, the front office, back office, first aid room, and a security room.
On Thursday, MTCC said that the development of the mosque built on the picnic island is well underway, with 70 percent completion.
It further said that the project is contracted to MTCC by the Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI) as a CSR initiative.
MTCC had also said that the arrival Jetty works are ongoing with 80 percent completion.
It said that roofing works of the jetty and the resting area are being carried out at the project site.
