A man who tried to cut off his own genitals has succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities in the Maldives had rushed a foreigner to Hulhumale' hospital after he had tried to cut off his own genitals and stabbed himself all over his body.
Citing hospital officials, Police said that the 31-year-old Bangladeshi man died last night while he was under treatment for self-inflicted wounds.
Reports have said that the man harmed himself after a spat with his lover.
Police said that so far the investigation did not show whether another person was involved in the tragic incident.
