Planning Ministry says customers can now book tickets for the Integrated National Public Ferry Network through a designated portal or App.

The Ministry gave the details on how to use the 'Raaje Transport Link RTL' portal and App to book tickets for the high-speed ferry system.

It said that customers can access the portal through this link and that the RTL App is now available for download on both the Apple App Store and Google's Playstore.

Customers can search for trips by filling in their port of origin as well as their destination and date of travel. Customers can also select the number of passengers and the type of trip (whether one-way or round).

Once this information is filled the customer can move on to select the seat, enter the passenger information and make the payment for the trip.

While most of the one-way tickets for the islands within Haa Dhaalu Atoll are set at MVR 35 and return for MVR 65, tickets for Makunudhoo are considerably expensive as the island is the furthest in the Atoll.

A one-way ticket from any island to Makunudhoo is at MVR 100 and the return is for MVR 200.

The Raajje Transport Link (RTL) is an initiative of the Government under the auspices of the Integrated National Public Ferry Network (INPFN) project to connect the islands, atolls, and people of Maldives.

Announced in 2021 and spearheaded by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure, RTL was conceived to be delivered to the public over three phases by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) Plc.
