Father of MP for Felidhoo Constituency Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed's father Abdu Rasheed has passed away earlier today.
The 75-year-old Abdu Rasheed of Maafannu Zeyvaru passed away in Bangalore, India where he had been seeking treatment for an illness.
Abdu Rasheed leaves behind his wife, four sons, and three daughters.
A long-serving member of the society, he had filled the parliament seat for Ari Atoll for about 20 years and had fulfilled the role of Atoll chief for two times.
He was also appointed the Chief Judge of the Police Court, Aide to Attorney General, and also served as the first Principal of Ahmadiya School when it first opened.
