Housing Development Corporation HDC says the park being developed near Hiya flat area of Hulhumale', Phase II would be opened in Ramadan.
The Corporation said that 85 percent of the park's first phase has now been completed and that the company is aiming to open the park to the public next month.
HDC began developing the park last December and when the first phase of the park is complete children as well adults can use the space for leisure activities.
In the second phase of the development, HDC plans to install children's swings and other equipment.
The park dubbed 'Hiya Park' would be located in the space near H5 flat and H6 flat in the Hiya area.
While many residents have moved into the Hiya Flats, the area still lacks most necessities and services as Hulhumale' Phase II is scarcely populated.
But HDC is planning to open convenience stores, pharmacies, clinics, daycares, tuition centers, and Quran classes in the vicinity soon.
