Male' City Council MCC has decided to give the MVR 5,000 monthly allowance of villimale member of the Women's Development Committee of the council Aminath Eaman to her family following her tragic death yesterday.

Eaman had succumbed to her injuries yesterday after she was involved in a traffic incident on Sunday in Hulhumale'.

The city council made this decision at the meeting held today after Villimale council member Nahula Ali had submitted the motion.

Nahula had said Eaman had died at the beginning of her tenure as a WDC member and that she left behind two children.

She said that it is vital that Eaman's monthly allowance be given to her family for the remainder of the term.

The motion was passed unanimously at the meeting and the city council said that they would propose this to the government.

It was reported that Eaman had been rushed to the hospital after she had fallen off her motorcycle upon riding on a road bumper.

Police had confirmed that a woman driver had fallen off her cycle on Kurendhimaa Hingunn of Hulhumale around 4:25 pm on Sunday and that the victim had been taken to the hulhumale' hospital for emergency treatment.

The 29-year-old was later shifted to ADK hospital and passed away while under treatment at the hospital.

She died while she was on ventilator support.

WDC Member Eaman leaves behind her husband and two children and many loved ones who all describe her as a friendly and kind person.
