President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih says he will be departing to Singapore today for Thyroid treatment.
He made the announcement via a Tweet today.
The President said that upon the recommendation from his doctors, he would be departing to Singapore today for Thyroid treatment.
He further said that god willingly the treatment would be complete soon and he would be able to join work as soon as possible.
This comes after the President and First Lady Fazna Ahmed had made an official trip to Singapore earlier this month.
The First Couple had traveled to Singapore on the 10th of this month and had returned to the Maldives on the 15th of this month.
This trip was the couple's second unofficial trip abroad in three months.
The First Couple had visited Sri Lanka last December on an unofficial trip and returned to the Maldives on 2nd January 2022.
