Vice President Faisal Naseem has voiced concern that the anti-India military campaign, "India Out" has reached schools in the country.

This comes after the "India Out" slogan was sprayed on the walls of the Shaviyani Funadhoo Schools walls and police began a probe into the incident.

Many on social media described the incident as unfortunate considering the fact that a number of foreign teachers are working at the school.

Speaking at the ceremony held to launch a satellite school in Baa Fehendhoo, Vice President Faisal Naseem said that he was concerned and upset that political activities have reached schools.

Noting that these activities are being carried out to create anxiousness in teachers' hearts, the Vice President said that the government would not accept anything that hinders the students' education.

Faisal urged all to refrain from such activities.

The Education Ministry had said that the incident at Funadhoo had created fear in the teachers' hearts and that they are asking the school to ensure their well-being is safeguarded.

Meanwhile, some people from the island had said that activists from the ruling MDP had been responsible for the wall painting incident.
