President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have today departed on an unofficial visit to Sri Lanka.
The President's Office said that the trip is a four-day trip.
The First Couple is scheduled to conclude their visit and return home on January 2, 2022.
Since President Solih took over the office, he and his wife had visited abroad for the new year.
It has also been reported that Lanka is home to the First Lady's extended family.
