Vice President Faisal Naseem has met the President of Bangladesh Md. Abdul Hamid, part of his current three-day official visit to Bangladesh.
The call took place at the Bangladeshi Presidential Palace, Bangabhaban.
At the meeting, the Vice President and the President discussed areas of mutual cooperation and conversed on avenues to further improve relations between the two countries.
Following the call, the Vice President arrived at Hotel Intercontinental, Dhaka, and met with Maldivian students residing in the country.
Earlier, the Vice President has met with Bangladeshi cabinet Ministers and the advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.
Faisal met with the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, the Minister of Expatriate's Welfare and Overseas Employment, the Minister of Youth and Sports, and the Minister of Education, at separate meetings, as part of his ongoing official visit to the country.
He held many discussions on the mutual corporation and touched on areas that are important to both countries including regularising Bangladeshi expatriate workers living in the Maldives.
The Vice President is accompanied on this trip by a delegation of cabinet ministers and high-level officials from the President's Office and the government.
