Vice President Faisal Naseem has departed on an official visit to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. He departed the Maldives last night.

He is slated to visit several strategic institutions in Bangladesh and will call on various senior representatives and key stakeholders during this visit.

The President's Office said that the Vice President will meet with cabinet ministers from the government of Bangladesh during this trip, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. A. K Abdul Momen, the Minister of Expatriate’s Welfare and Overseas Employment, Imran Ahmad, and the Minister of Education, Dr. Dipu Moni.

It said that he will also call on the President of Bangladesh, Md. Abdul Hamid, at the Bangladeshi Presidential Palace, Bangabhaban.

The Vice President will conclude his trip and return to the Maldives on 24 November 2021.

He is accompanied on this trip by a delegation of cabinet ministers and high-level officials from the President’s Office and the government.
