Housing Development Corporation HDC has opened a mega interactive water fountain at the central park in Hulhumale' last night.
The water fountain which is larger than 20,000 sq feet was integrated by Fisheries Minister Dr. Hussain Rasheed at a special ceremony held last night.
The water fountain build on the east side of the park boasts a synchronized display of both light and music.
HDC said that the fountain is approximately 20,021 sq feet large in size and that its water spouts as high as 15 meters into the air.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, HDC's Managing Director Suhail Ahmed said that this water fountain would be a mesmerizing sight for those living in Hulhumale and those visiting the artificial island for all purposes.
Noting that many families are now moving to Phase II of Hulhumale, Suhail said his company has plans to conduct many projects in the area.
HDC had said that it was delighted to see such a huge crowd and excited kids throughout this colorful event.
