Pilots of Maldives National Defense Force MNDF has flown the Indian-gifted Military Dornier Aircraft for the first time ever.
MNDF said that at a special ceremony held today the Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdullah Shamaal had presented the aviation squadron badge to MNDF pilots.
MNDF also said that the pilots of the Coast Guard Aviation Squadron will be commencing their flying duties on the MNDF Dornier from today onwards.
The Chief Of Defense Force Major General Shamaal emphasized the achievement with a tweet saying that it was a historic moment as MNDF pilots took to the skies for the first time in the Military Dornier Aircraft.
He extended sincere thanks to the Indian armed forces for training our pilots in such useful and versatile aerial platforms.
