Sri Lanka pulled a goal back in the 57th minute of the match courtesy of a beautiful strike by Marvin Hamilton.

But just as Lanka was searching for an equalizer, Nepal scored again and this time through Ayush Ghalan.

There was still time for more drama in the extra time of the second half when Sri Lanka was awarded a penalty and Dillon De Silver made it 3-2 from the spot.

But it proved too little too late for Sri Lanka in the end as the match ended at 3-2.

They still remain winless after two matches into the tournament and now remain rooted to the bottom of the table.

Nepal meanwhile move to the top of the table with the win after securing 6 points in their opening two fixtures and remain two points ahead of the second-placed team Bangladesh on 4 points.
