Football Association of the Maldives FAM says tickets for the first two matches of the upcoming SAFF Championship are now available for purchase from the national stadium.
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh kick off the first-ever SAFF Championship hosted solely by the Maldives on Friday evening at 04:00 pm.
The host nation later takes on Nepal at 09:00 pm on the same day while regional powerhouse India will also compete in the competition to be played in a league format due to the lack of participating teams.
FAM had said that tickets for the first two matches are now available for purchase and they would be sold at the national stadium from 02:00 pm to 11:00 pm tonight.
It also said that tickets would be available for purchase from 10:00 am to 06:00 pm and 08:00 pm to 11:00 pm tomorrow as well.
FAM had said that each buyer can only purchase a maximum of 5 tickets and those ticket buyers must present their COVID vaccination cards and national identity cards.
It said that security features have been added to the tickets and that fans would not be allowed to leave the stadium during halftime.
FAM is selling tickets of stairs stands for MVR 75 while it said that chair stands tickets would be sold for MVR 100.
The Maldives is looking to secure their 3rd SAFF Championship trophy having won the regional tournament in 2008 and then 10 years later in 2018.
