Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed Mabrook Azeez says President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is scheduled to embark on an official trip to Thaa Atoll.

Mabrook said that the President is scheduled to visit 7 islands from the Atoll and that he is scheduled to depart on his trip later today.

The Presidential Spokesperson also said that it is a 3-day trip and that the President would visit Thimarafushi, Kinbidhoo, Imadhoo, Veymandoo, Vandhoo, Kandoodhoo, and Gaadifushi of Thaa Atoll.

Last month, President Solih had traveled to Kulhudhufushi city, Hanimaadhoo, and Kumundhoo in Haa Dhaalu Atoll.

Up until the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country's shores, the President had been very active in meeting with island councils.

So far in his tenure, President Solih has held 127 meetings with different island councils and has visited 69 islands.

While the President had stopped his regional traveling due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year, President Solih has been making more official trips to the islands and inspecting different developmental projects currently underway across the country.
