Health Protection Agency HPA has placed Gaafu Alifu Atoll Villigillu under monitoring just 4 days after taking the southern island off the monitoring list.

Authorities had confirmed a total of 178 COVID-19 on the island and had reported that the island had 5 active cases of COVID-19 when it was lifted from monitoring.
HPA had confirmed that 13 islands across the country are currently monitoring after COVID-19 cases were reported on the islands.
