Maldives Meteorological Services Met Office has issued a yellow alert tonight amid worsening weather in parts of the country.
The Met Office said that it had issued a yellow alert from Kaafu Atoll to Vaavu Atoll.
It said that the alert for these areas is from 10:15 pm to 12:15 am.
It said that moderate thunderstorms are expected in the areas during this time.
Earlier today, the Met Office had issued a while alert from Lhaviyani Atoll to Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.
It had said that heavy rain and thunderstorms with a gust of 40 mph are expected in the area.
