Health Protection Agency HPA says caretakers of bedridden people can now visit vaccination centers for vaccination, in the greater Male’ area.

In a tweet, HPA said that this includes caretakers of the elderly bedridden individuals and those who take care of bedridden individuals because of a disability.

HPA added that it is important that the caretakers get vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to protect their charges.

Meanwhile, HPA had also reminded today that organizations and companies can register their frontline staff and members by contacting the relevant authorities to set up appointments for group vaccinations.

HPA said that Cafes, Shops, Restaurants, and Private Companies should contact the Ministry of Economic Development for vaccination registration.

It also said that sports clubs, associations, and NGOs must contact the Ministry of Youth for group vaccination registration while Fisheries and Agriculture related parities must get in touch with the Fisheries Ministry.

HPA urged tourist establishments to contact the Tourism Ministry for such queries and for all businesses, restaurants, cafes, and shops in Hulhumale to contact Housing Development Corporation HDC.

HPA had said that a total of 75,013 people have now been vaccinated in the Maldives up till yesterday and that includes 56,979 from the Greater Male' Area and 18,034 from the Atolls.
