Manta Air says all six aboard its crashed seaplane have now been discharged from Tree Top Hospital and Hulhumale Hospital after it the plane fell while landing at Velaana Internation airport earlier today.
The airline confirmed that all six passengers and three crew members have been discharged from the hospital after medical examinations. It also said that the aircraft is currently in the process of being salvaged for further investigations.
Manta air thanked Maldives National Defense Force MNDF and Maldives Airports Company Limited as well as other responding agencies and their crew for acting professionally and swiftly to take care of its passengers during the crash.
The Airline said that its top priority now remains to provide any and all assistance to the families of the passengers and crew.
The early morning crash had happened while the seaplane was landing at Velanaa International Airport. MACL had said that accident investigation and recovery is now in progress.
